Covid-19 Update All church services and activities are cancelled until further notice. They will provide streams online via their website and Facebook. What can you expect when you join us for the Sunday morning meeting? First of all, we can promise you a very warm welcome, not just a welcome at the door, but before and after the service as well. Next, you can expect to join us in hymns of praise, led by our praise group. There will be a balance of more modern hymns as well as some of the older favourites. The words of the songs are projected onto a screen, so you will not need to search through hymn books to find the right place. Most of the congregation will stand to sing the hymns, but if you are more comfortable just sitting and listening to the music, then that is what you do. We want everyone to be comfortable during the meeting, whether they stand or stay seated, sing or remain silent. There will be times for you to sit and listen. We usually have a short “all age reflection” or a children’s address. There also will be a talk by the pastor or visiting preacher. This will be based firmly on the Bible and it is given to encourage, to teach, to inspire those in the congregation. There will also be times of prayer. It is normal for us to bow our heads and close our eyes so that we might focus on the words of the prayer. You will not be asked to pray. There are volunteers who do that for the church each Sunday. An offering is lifted during the service for the financial support of the church. The offering also helps us support organisations, locally, nationally and overseas. At the end of the service there is a time of fellowship over tea and coffee where people can chat and share with one another. We hope that all visitors will stay and join with us at this time, so that they, too, might enjoy this time with us. There really isn’t a dress code – you can decide how smart or casual you want to be. Basically just relax and be yourself.
