About the Service

COVID-19 Update Due to the Coronavirus(COVID-19), the Our Place Our Future Greenock East & Central(OPOF) team will now be working from home for the next 4 weeks at least, with a further review of the national situation at that time. Although all face to face contact is cancelled throughout this period, we will still be available via Facebook, telephone, text or email. All of our existing groups (except from Carwood Court Residents groups) now have dedicated Facebook Groups where they can continue to chat and provide each other with support. These are available through our Facebook page @OurPlaceOurFuture. Our planned Community Champion open day on Wednesday 25th March is cancelled but please do get in touch if you are interested in becoming a Community Champion and would like to find out more. Training for our Community Champions will also be available online or via email. We hope that our Ideas Day on Wednesday 29th April will still go ahead. In the meantime, we will update everyone in Greenock East and Central daily via our Greenock East & Central COVID19 Services Update group on on what services are running in Inverclyde. You can join this through the OurPlaceOurFuture Facebook Page. Thank you The OPOF team Our Place Our Future - Greenock East & Central aims to support communities to have their say on issues important to them, develop their own groups and activities and help create positive change. Patricia and Nicole, our Community Builders, will be out and about throughout Greenock East and Central listening to your ideas and views. They will give you the support and tools to help you move forward with your ideas. Rebecca, our Volunteering Officer, aims to get more people engaged in their community through volunteering to allow people to be more connected with the place that they live. If you have any ideas, no matter how big or small, on how to improve your community ,have thought about starting a group or activity but down know where to start or want to volunteer within your community let us know!
