About the Service

Covid-19 Update All classes are suspended until further notice. West College Scotland is one of the largest educational organisations in the country. We teach more than 22,000 students full-time, part-time and online. We are an important part of the educational landscape of the West of Scotland, with campuses in Clydebank, Greenock and Paisley. Ours is an award-winning institution, committed to putting students at the centre of everything we do. In the Greenock Campus we offer courses in: Art, Design & Animation; Beauty & Complementary Therapies; Business, Administration & Accountancy; Childcare; Computing & Building Services; Engineering; Hairdressing; Health & Social Care; Hospitality & Professional Cookery; Learner Development; Make-up Artistry; Media, TV & Radio; Motor Vehicle; Music & Music Business; Nursing; Science; Social Sciences; Sound Production & DJing; Sport; Travel & Tourism.

The college provide a full range of support in relation to the funding packages that are available on a case by case basis.

Eligibility Criteria

Although the age is 16+, the college work with 32 secondary schools across the West of Scotland, delivering courses to senior-phase pupils at College and in school. We also engage with hundreds of primary school pupils and we are active in our business communities. We are a fully inclusive College and each of campuses offer and work within their communities to offer an inclusive range of courses addressing complex social and economic challenges facing many people in our College community. The College is fully accessible and a ‘Disability Confident Employer’. We have a dedicated Students’ Association, our Student support teams offer a range of services, such as Time 4 U, a free counselling service to students. We also offer support on careers, student funding and attendance issues.
